Neyland paid the price for a poor first half against Tenby at the Athletic Ground.

Trailing 0–3 at half time, the Nomads then produced a stirring second half fight back but despite scoring twice and pressing for an equalizer, the away side held on to move second in the table.

The home side never got going in the first half and fell behind after 10 minutes when Mike Beynon slid in to score from close range. Poor marking allowed Gareth Warlow to add a second on the half hour mark, and when Daryl Mansbridge headed home a third the game seemed over for the home side.

However, the Nomads threw caution to the wind after half time and Wayne Parry pulled one back following a goalmouth scramble. With 20 minutes left, player manager Paul Hannon lobbed the ball over Tenby keeper James Phillips to score and set up a frantic finish.

The home side pressed in the closing minutes but failed to find a way through – and were left to rue a poor first half which left them too much to do.
