HAVEN Angling Group held a roving competition last Sunday, weather conditions were favourable with fairly light winds and plenty of sunshine.
There were a good variety of different species caught including pollack, mackerel, rockling and conger eel.
In first place with a nice strap conger was the old man of the club Dennis Griffiths.
Second with a mixed bag was Alan Johnson and in third was Roland Adams with another mixed bag.
Next weeks match is being fished for the Stephen Brown Memorial Cup and the match will be won with the heaviest bull huss.
On the same day at the Gellyswick Yacht Club are holding a species boat match.
