THE community of St Ishmaels pulled together for another fantastic family-friendly carnival fun day on Saturday (August 13).

From glamorous mermaids to adventurous Pokemon hunters, there were an array of costumes and floats on show in the parade.

Then it was on to the cricket club for an afternoon of games, raffles and live music.

Adrian Griffiths, one of the organisers, said: "I hope everyone enjoyed our big day as much as we on the committee did.

"People turned up in a wonderful array of costumes and had so much fun.

"There are so many people to thank, everyone who helped with the marquees, the people who made and provided cakes and sandwiches, the tea ladies who did an excellent job and had a ball at the same time, the men on the gate, the club staff, and all our sponsors and prize donors - thanks for the super prizes for our raffle.

"Thanks also to our judge Joanna Sayers, the Milford Mercury, and last but not least my fellow committee members Jane, Carol, Pauline, Dianne and Mandy.

"Once again it was a pleasure working with you and thanks for your hard work."

Entertainment was provided by Vibzzz Dance Group display, S&S Entertainment, Kris Sanders and Strictly Groove, and DJ Glyn Thomas.

Prizes were awarded to the best individual fancy dress walkers, best group fancy dress walkers, and best float.
