LOCAL community groups based near South Hook LNG terminal are being invited to apply for grants of up to £3,000.

South Hook LNG has actively supported Pembrokeshire voluntary projects, charities and community groups for the past seven years, but now it’s linked up with Pembrokeshire Association of Voluntary Services (PAVS) to make the process easier.

Instead of applying directly to South Hook LNG for a grant, applicants will now go through PAVS, which will use its wealth of experience in the voluntary sector to help people make the most of their applications.

They will be on hand to give advice, and ensure applications meet South hook LNG’s eligibility criteria.

The partnership is the first in Pembrokeshire, said PAVS Senior Learning and Development Officer Vanessa John.

“This partnership not only signifies a continued commitment by South Hook LNG to support Pembrokeshire communities, but the genuine desire to ensure that the financial assistance we offer has real impact,” said South Hook LNG’s current General Manager, Yasser S. Al Jaidah.

“The advice and support of PAVS will be instrumental to this, and we are very pleased to be involved in a partnership that will see the private and voluntary sectors working together for the benefit of our community.”
