AWARD-winning artist, designer and film-maker Karen Ingham will be giving a talk on her upcoming film, ‘Pembrokeshire Drovers’ at The Lab (formerly Ocky White’s travel bureau), Haverfordwest.

The film is the latest artist commission by Confluence.

Discussing the role of Pembrokeshire drovers, as ‘the original cowboys’, in shaping Haverfordwest’s economy, Karen will examine the role of the landscape in revealing the layers of history behind a town like Haverfordwest.

She will also look at how historical maps have constructed social, political and cultural narratives, around the old Market town of Haverfordwest.

Asking what future maps might look like, Karen will explore the role of Haverfordwest’s people in mapping new layers of history around Haverfordwest, and how contemporary social, economic and environmental changes might shape how we picture the town.

Karen Ingham's talk will take place on Wednesday, April 13, at 7pm.

The event is free, with a warm welcome to all, and refreshments provided.
